Child can work and play in his environment independently. He has naturally switched to a left brain mode and is cultivating reasoning, deduction and logic in language, movement and calculation. More effort is needed to go into the right brain state -- but can be achieved through relaxation and practice.

"After-imaging" and simple memory games will help the child build skills that will enhance all other learning activities. When introducing vocabulary and the mechanics of a language, make sure you put them on posters, flashcards, coloring pages and game cards to make learning fun! Encourage your child to play with the language through reading, drama, songs, stroytelling, play speeches and poetry. 	Elementary (and sometimes Preschool) Stage
	Have soothing music in the background as your child works with workbooks or homework assignments. It is important to make linear workbook pages fun -- something your child will look forward to! You can make workbook assignments fun by making each page into a game. For example: You can turn a page of boring numbered problems into a race track. Draw a race track that runs throughout the page, touching on each problem. Use a play car and drive from problem to problem. Each problem solved brings the child closer to the "finish line." Another idea: Some children like to put Cheerios on each problem to eat as they go!	Learning Mathematics with the Abacus textbook series. 4325 × 235 = ? ...or... 7354 ÷ 2345 = ?
